my week

I'm trying to get back into the swing of things with school.  I'm not too motivated to do homework, I'd rather sit and quilt some.

I have been knitting a few doll blankets for the girls.  I hope to have them done by the end of the month.

Last night I cut out the pieces for a four block Civil War wallhanging.  I want to get it done and hang it in the dining room.  I also have a Revolutionary war era fabric one that I'm working on.  I have several pieces in my hutch that are older such as a set of Currier and Ives dishes, some crystal, and a few pieces of milk glass.  My dad made a few shelves to hang up in that room that I can display my "old" family photos.  So, my theme will be "old".....can't really call it antiques.  I hope to eventually display our family trees.

So, that's what's going on here.  Today I'm going to work on homework and hopefully a little sewing.  I also have the yule log defrosted.  Its about ten pounds of hamburger meat.  I'm going to make taco meat, chili meat, and meatballs and freeze them today.

Its pretty chilly today.  I had to pick up the oldest two this morning from a lock-in at the church last night.  It was one degree on my truck.  Got a fire going already!!

  1. Just think how good it will feel to work on other things after that homework is out of the way!
I'd love to join you at the fireside.
